After asking a questionnaire to many students I came to the conclusion that I would make a school magazine for sixth form students. I have evaluated my magazine and I have came up with the points below:
What went well?
· I think the picture was a very successful part in my magazine, I made sure I got a good shot, from a eye level angle, and that the background was plain and didn’t have to much going on.
· My front cover and contents page was quite a match with my flat plan.
· The storylines on the front cover link well with the contents page stories.
· The colour scheme on my magazine cover and contents page was kept to a minimum number of colours, which I think makes it look more professional.
· The picture on my front page links very well with the fact that my magazine in aimed at sixth form students because the sign my model is holding reads ‘welcome to sixth form’.
· The contents page is very easy to understand.
What didn't go so well?
· The font looks messy and I think the different fonts I used made the magazine look a bit immature.
· I think I used have used more photos on my contents page that were relevant to the stories on the inside.
· My contents page is quite messy, it needs to have a better layout.
What could I improve?
· I could of used more photos, and also that the images could have been set out better on my contents page.
· I think the text could have been better laid out.
